Hi folks: Just a quick update that you can now browse public JLI spaces directly from the landing page without logging in. Enjoy!

Note that you still need an account to create your own spaces, engage in chats, and comment.

And your private spaces or groups always stay private; neither anonymous visitors nor registered users can see them unless you share your private link or publish your space for all visitors to share.

We’re experimenting with a new feature, slideshows, which is online now. More details coming soon, but if you’d like to try it out, log in and

• upload any PowerPoint presentation, or set of images, as a single PDF. (In most versions of PowerPoint, you can export any presentation as a PDF using ‘Export’ from the file menu; if you run into any trouble, Microsoft’s instructions are here).

• In any of your spaces, click the ‘Images’ tab and click ‘My Slideshows’. Your slideshow should be there, and you can drag and drop it onto any image or video frame.

• You can use the slideshow controls to autoplay your show for others in your space, or advance and rewind manually.
